India needs to move beyond chip manufacturing, use Indian chips in products designed and made locally: Report

India’s next phase of semiconductor development should move beyond simply increasing chip manufacturing capacity and focus on building an ecosystem where chips designed, produced and packaged in the country are increasingly used in products designed and manufactured domestically, according to a report by EY–IESA.
